Spaghetti Pie

It's a good thing that Sarah recommended I make spaghetti pie for dinner, otherwise we wouldn't have eaten anything last night. This was my second attempt at making this dish and it turned out pretty great. The crunchy noodle pasta crust was pretty amazing too.

What you need:
6 oz box of spaghetti
1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce (or make your own from scratch, I cheated last night)
1 pound of lean ground beef
1/2 of a sweet onion, chopped
2 cloves of fresh garlic
Ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese

Quick run-down: So I started with cooking and draining the pasta according to the directions on the box. Then proceeded with browning the meat, and seasoning it with salt and pepper. Once browned all the way through, the meat was drained and then the chopped onion and garlic was added to the same pan with a little bit of butter. Once the onions were clear, I added the jar of sauce and heated it through, adding the meat after. A crust was made with the spaghetti, topped with a layer of ricotta, then the meat sauce, and then sprinkled with mozzarella, and then baked in the oven until brown and bubbly.

This was the result:
